- Be Professional: Maintain a professional tone in all communications. Be polite and respectful to everyone you interact with.
- Be Clear and Concise: Clarity is key in communication. Be clear about your questions or the information you are sharing. Avoid unnecessary jargon.
- Email Etiquette: Use a clear and concise subject line and always address the recipient by name.
- Timeliness: Respond to all communication in a timely manner. If a full response will take time, send an acknowledgment and provide a timeline for a full response.
- “I will be able to reply by X hours” would go a long way if you have seen the message, but can’t provide an answer right away
- your team works async, so don’t be afraid of being open on when you would be able to get something done - no one will think less of you or your performance
- Meetings: Be punctual for all meetings. Come prepared with any necessary materials or information.
- Confidentiality: Keep all internal communications within the organization confidential.
- This is reflected in your contract.
- Working Language: All work-related communication is in English, except realtime meetings (calls) which don’t get recorded. When talking to fellow interns or other colleagues over DM or in some informal channels - you can use any language you want.
Following these guidelines will ensure a smooth and effective communication process during your internship.
