1. Be Professional: Maintain a professional tone in all communications. Be polite and respectful to everyone you interact with.
  2. Be Clear and Concise: Clarity is key in communication. Be clear about your questions or the information you are sharing. Avoid unnecessary jargon.
  3. Email Etiquette: Use a clear and concise subject line and always address the recipient by name.
  4. Timeliness: Respond to all communication in a timely manner. If a full response will take time, send an acknowledgment and provide a timeline for a full response.
    1. “I will be able to reply by X hours” would go a long way if you have seen the message, but can’t provide an answer right away
    2. your team works async, so don’t be afraid of being open on when you would be able to get something done - no one will think less of you or your performance
  5. Meetings: Be punctual for all meetings. Come prepared with any necessary materials or information.
  6. Confidentiality: Keep all internal communications within the organization confidential.

  7. Working Language: All work-related communication is in English, except realtime meetings (calls) which don’t get recorded. When talking to fellow interns or other colleagues over DM or in some informal channels - you can use any language you want.
